Let's see if I can make this real quick.

Family went out to the Movies t'night. We saw Harry Potter: The Chamber of Secrets, and Spirited Away. Harry Potter was really kinda good -- parts of it seemed to seem out of place, and I didn't like the House Elf (he really bothered me) but I quite enjoyed the movie. I'd heard about Thom Riddle before, and there'd be talk about Haggard, but I didn't KNOW anything. It was really cool. I almost hesitate to say it, but I think I'm quite interested in reading that series, now. I listened to 1/2 the first book on tape with Claire, and I own 1, 3, and 4 back at School.

Spirited Away was cool, too. I liked it the first time when I saw it at Nekocon, and I wanted to have my little sisters, Beth and Becky, see it cause I knew they'd like it. I noticed a few more things in the movie - little bitd of dialog that gave hints as to what would happen later in the movie. Nothing real big, mind you, just stuff you notice the second time around. I still like it for the way it seems, to me at least, to toy with the idea that things are not as they appear.
And yes, Beth and Becky (along with most everyone else in my family) liked the movie.

Now I sleep, as I am tired, and that is the thing to do. In the next week I have to pack up all my stuff and get my new glasses. Whee.

dude I love the harry potter movies. I havn't read the books because I don't read, but I have them all in mp3 format if you want em. When you gonna be back here in MD? I am totally bored and need something to do before I go off to wilkes barre for a long time.

I must confess, at first I wasn't into the Potter books cause I thought they were 'kid stuff.' Good kid stuff, by the way everyone was talking about them, but kid stuff nonetheless. I mean, come on, my little brother was reading them. i've since changed my opinion, and from what I hear they get really good in books 3 and 4. My brother's curious as to why Book 5 hasn't come out. My biggest obstacle to reading them now is the fact that I have SEVERAL DOZEN books that I want to read, and being as I'm such a slow reader to begin with (it relaxes me to the point that I fall asleep) it will take quite a while to read through any given series (LotR being another, as are The Wheel of Time and Narnia).
As I told Claire, I'm not really one for Books on Tape, but I did really enjoy listening to it, so I may take you up on that offer. About how long, total, do you think the mp3s would be (in Track format)? Two CDs? Three?

As far as getting back, I'll prolly fly in the afternoon/evening of the 11th, with classes starting on the 13th. I donno when you're headed outta town, but you had mentioned some Coffee-shop place you thought might be cool to check out. I'll try and give you a call when I get in -- if not, you've got my number.

I hear book 5 was delayed because the author was having major stress and family issues. I would too if the whole world was buggin me to wrtie another book. Some crack pot authors in china cranked out three more harry potter books, so they have seven. Leave it to china to break even more copywrite laws. I think the mp3s are in 45 minute segments, which make it a pain to burn em onto a CD cause cds are 80 minutes, but in track format, I guestimate like 13+ cds, cause thats how long LOTR was in track format.

Go forth, grasshopper, and read for thineself the books! Or, erm...at least... read the second one, because Tom Riddle is my High Holy God-King of Sextacular Evilness....or something along those lines. Just too bad about him going all evil and ugly, you know? I refused to read the books because they were so over-hyped....Then my Mum promised to get me out of school to see the first movie if I'd read the book by the time it came out. I read it, it was decent...I read the second one, it was tasty, and the fanfics... ::melts::

Then she threw out her back and I didnt get to see it for another two weeks. Boo. ::scampers away::
