So, here's my dillema. It's 1:13. I have a class at 9:00 in the morning. But my girlfriend just told me she'd be on in an hour. Now, do I wait up for her, or do I act reasonably and go to bed?

I can grab a nap from 10 till 12.... sleep is for the weak.... I have a project I can work on.... what's caffiene for, anyways?

Newsflash from MagicTheGathering.com - Judgement Preview starts April 29th. I think it's supposed t'come out in the fall. Whenever it comes, I want to be at the pre-release. I signed up for Player Rewards, so I get two free token cards for every DCI-sanctioned event I attened. Free Cards are our friends. Tokens have original art. ^^ Yeeeeeees.

Now then, all I need are a million squirrels, and four sheep. Just cause I like sheep.

And Zombies.

"Each has its own funky, mind-altering mechanics that just beg to be used creatively. And, overall, they seem to be relatively cost-efficient for all of the strangeness they offer. Yes, maybe I misjudged cephalids and their blue, big-headed, beady-eyed... tentacled... squirmy...
Nah. They’re still gross."

"Magic is a living, breathing game. The only way to kill it, I argued, wasn’t for R&D to make the wrong decisions, but to keep making the same decisions. The evolution of the game is essential to its survival, which meant that every once in a while it was crucial to do something that the audience didn’t expect. On occasion, we had to throw the players for a loop by doing something they simply couldn’t anticipate. Maybe split cards were this thing and maybe they weren't, but we had to at least give them a chance. We should kill them for not being fun or not playing well. We shouldn’t kill them simply for being different."

I was amazingly awake this morning. Infact, I was up before my alarm. Hell, I was up before Jon's alarm. It was weird. English class was OK, even if I did miss the readings. ><* We got our argumentative papers back, though: A-, though I saw a number of places I could have improved my argument. It was suggested I also make my argument more forceful with workds like 'moreover' and 'therefore'. He makes a good point.

Came back, took a shower, and voted for the USG (that's our Student Government) election. Oddly, there have been posters calling for the abolishment of the USG. I'm not sure that's a feasable idea, though.

In an hour, I have lunch, then calc, but my CAE Tools class was cancelled. That gives me time to try finishing up this 3rd Lab for CompSci. We're not getting Lab 4 - skipping right to Lab 5.

Three weeks from friday, and my year will be over, exams included. Feel the mighty joy.

Because you care

After pretending like I was going to take a nap for about an hour and a half, I went to lunch. I had earlier decided that wearing long pants on a day like t'day was simply a crime, so I changed into my shorts and sandals. I love these shorts. ^^ Great sandals, too.

For the first time in what feels like forever I ate at North. I'm sure I'll regret that, soon, but guess what? Only a month left! Then I get REAL, home-cooked food every day. ^^ I sat with Jack, Katie C., Lauren, Pokey, and Katie D. I had some spaghetti and french fries, it wasn't too toxic. The coke was really...hmmm, fizzy is the word, I think. They need more syrup and less seltzer, I think. I also learned my Physics test was pushed from tomarrow to next Tuesday. That's good news, seeing as I have a Calc test t'marrow. ^^;;

Calculus was fine, and I'm not too concerned about the test tomarrow, cause it's on limits, and I don't think I should have any trouble with it. ><* I'm going to take a bit of time to study, though, cause I have this tendancy to skrew up when I think I know something. After calc I went to McMahon to pick up a package from my parents. I love them. ^^ They sent me a chocolate bunny with jelly beans and spree and everything. ^^

Came back here and decided I generally don't like Tool (the band) very much, but I love the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. They're amazing, it's like Leslie's Rock Opera, 'cept I can understand it, and I recognize the songs they spice up. ^^ And they sound similar to the ballads that Savatage does. Good stuff, good stuff.

I think I might go lay down a bit before working on my CompSci project. Maybe I'll study some Calculus first. I'll likely see you all around later.

"But how can you go on with such conviction? And who do you think you are? Why do you question me?"

-Alanis Morissette

And so I slept. I guess I slept for some two or three hours, I'm not really sure.
At 6:00, I got up and wandered back over to North for dinner. I had the same thing, spaghetti and french fries. Sometimes it's safe to go with what you know. Sometimes it doesn't matter.

The day has been simply beautiful. I think, maybe if it rains tonight (ie, after sunset) we'll have had The Perfect Day (as far as weather goes).
This morning started out wonderfully, not quite warm but definately not cold, with a mild-to-strong brease. The day only got better as the day went on, the sun comming out and truely radiating, making for that sunny-warm type day, and the wind died just so, enough to that it blended with the heat of the afternoon in an amazing way. I spent some time out there after my classes and was almost tempted to stay off my computer the rest of the day. Almost.
This evening has thus far finished the day quite nicely - clouds rolling in, marbling the sky in grays and whites, and the sunset melting into a mild spread of light orange and blue.
To top off this perfect day, an evening shower, with nice, firm rain, streaching from about 7:30 consistantly through 11:00 or 1:00 would be marvelous. I have doubts that should happen, in which case, an alternative would be a vast, clear, star-filled sky. I'm easy to please.

In other news, it turns out that I'm going to be playing in an RPG Soon, as well. My friend, Lantisk, is running a game (two actually) on IRC, and was so taken with my playing last time invited me to check this one out. And so, I did, and subsequently made my character. For those who care, we're playing Rifts (by Palladium Books), another post-appocalyptic game. I'm to be playing a Lord Magus - a mage who, quite literally, becomes his work. Ertai (as he's named) should prove quite entertaining to play, and anyone with THAT many spells has options. Saddly, Palladium has no system for counter-magic....

Eureka!
