Today Was A Good Day
Feb. 10th, 2002 11:44 pmI got up at about 10:00, but lay around in bed until 10:30. I had work at 11:30, though until I got there I was sure I was scheduled for noon. good thing I sucked it up and went in early. Work was insanely boring. Five and a half hours of standing on my feet. Though, we had a group of confirmation students come in, so the scenery was nice. ^_^*
I decided that, in general, people who come in are either presumptuous or stupid. Though, really, one is the other. People think they know what they're doing, do something really stupid, and then I gotta fix their mistakes. Mostly it's just as simple as "No, sir, that's the closet. The bathrooms are over there." But really, I would hope people have better sense than these people demonstrate.
After work, I got changed, and left for gramma's at six. Sadly, I got stuck in horrendous traffic, and didn't make it there till 7:00. You know what the hold up was? Cops had blocked off two of the three lanes for no apparent reason - RIGHT by the 95 onramp. Sure, something MAY have happened earlier, but when I went by, nothing. Just 2 cops blocking the lanes. People here in Dc sure are dumb...
Had good food at Gramma's. Cathy asked me what my plans were for break.
"Gonna make a few trips" I said
"To see you're friend?"
"Well, uhm, yeah, I'm going to see Claire..."
*knowing smile*
My relatives are great. ^_^
Got to play Smash Brothers Melee - Zelda kicks royal ass. Really, she swept up with Peach. ^_^ Oh how I love that beautiful elf.... And a match-up between the two princesses is always an entertaining match.
And....
She replied.
Emily responded to that last e-mail I sent her. ^_^ If nothing else, it shows she doesn't hate me. She told me yet again she's been busy, and then told me some generic "here's my life" stuff. Not a confession of undying love, but it made me happy. ^_^ I rediscovered recently, before this reply, a few of the reasons I like Emily in the first place. I'm so afraid of losing her as a friend, though.
Well, it's about Midnight, now - I think I'll play some Brood Wars before going t'bed - I needa get up early and make it to the Library t'marrow for English. We'll see how things go. G'night.
