Another silly survey.

1. What's the story behind your LJ username?
Some time ago around 9th grade, and I can't quite remember how, the character Rolias Noom was created. I used him as a Chat-room RP character for a time, and then thought to try writing a novel about him, whereupon his name changed (still have yet to make any progress at all on this story). In any case, I've used RoliasNoom as my AIM-name for a while now, and it makes a convenient 'no one will have that' name when signing onto message boards and other communities. Like LiveJournal.
Random note for the day -- there was one time, and I'm not sure when or where, that someone had already taken RoliasNoom. I think it may have been Kazaa, where I'm known as JanusAnAllen.
2. Name five of your favorite pig-out foods.
Uhm... Pretzels, pasta, pizza, bread, and burgers. But, uhm, I don't really pig-out...
3. Have you ever had a makeover?
Apparently, yes I have. ^_^;;
4. Name all members of the Beatles.
Tatsu said: John, Paul, George and Ringo...but I just copied that. (what he said)
You know, this is a rather foolish question to ask. I prolly could have gotten them on my own, but I can't garontee that. Yeah, the Beatles were huge, but the key word there is 'were.' Given another few years, I imagine they will be lost to the mists of time. In either case, once one person answers this question, it's dead -- everyone else will recognize the names.
5. What's the longest time you've stayed out of the country/where?
A couple years back, my dad was in port somewhere in Italy, and my family took a trip out to Europe t'see him. We flew into London, went through Paris, and then visited all around Italy. I think we were only there for a couple of weeks, but it felt like half a month! it's funny how good it can be to get back 'home' to the US.
6. One thing you're grateful for, today?
I've got a bunch of really cool friends. And stuff and things and stuff.
7. What is your favorite high school memory?
Uhm, wow, I really don't have many... there's one kind of 'conglomo-memory,' just the random times when me, Leslie, Nancy, and Ryan were driving around. We were a pretty cool group.
8. What is the most insane thing you've done for/to your crush that he/she might not/might know about?
Uhm....? ^_^;;
9. Describe your dream wedding:
-laughs- To be honest, I'll leave that up to her. It's the girl's perogative to dream up that kinda thing anyways, isn't it? I suppose I might argue that a small wedding would be better than a large one, but then, I like poeople, too. And I'd necessarily want it to be in a Church, but... -shrugs- Generally, it's her call.
12. Do you have a favorite quote?
Uhm, not really. I like lots of quotes, from the profound thoughts of past thinkers to the random bits of wit the my brothers spout off... For this week, it seems, I'm fond of "Live like there's no tomorrow, love like you've never been hurt, dance like nobody's wating..." Good advice all around.
13. My first heartbreak happened when I was...
Ninteen. We were lucky enough to still stay friends, and it was generally a mutual thing, anyways. These things just have a way of hurting. I'm lucky in that I've never really been hurt; I've had a relatively easy life, I think.
15. Do you have any weird preferences?
Honeymustard sause. Everything tastes better with honeymustard. Everything.
19. If you were famous, and were to be a guest on a talk show, whose show would you choose?
Uhm....? I donno... Whoever I deam t'be the most clever. ^_^ I'm a fan of wit, but I don't watch enough TV to have an opinion.
20. Give yourself a porn star name.
Tatsu said: *blinku*
I concur.
22. What do you plan to do this summer?
Work at my NRL Job, buy a car, and hopefully upgrade my computer.
23. What is your favorite song right now?
Uhm... I'm currently a big fan of "Cup of Coffee" by Garbage, but I don't really have a favorite song yet -- one that tops them all. I love music.
24. Write a line from any song.
If I go away
What would still remain of me
The ghost within your eyes
The whisper in your sighs
You see
Believe
And I'm always there
"If I Go Away," by Savatage
26. Describe your dream house.
A two-story thing... I almost want to say 'colonial' or 'ranch,' but I'm not really sure what either mean. It would be open, with space, noit cramped and closed like some places. There would be a wrap-around deck, the sort of place you can sit with a cup of tea and watch the sun or the stars, if you so choose. It would be out somewhere - not in the city, definately, but not so far out into the wilderness that I can run to the grocery store. Sparce residential suburbs, perhapse. And, with a little luck, there would be a lake which we could see out the back. And definately have a large yard -- I think that's implied.
27. Your typical sleepwear:
Pair of light flannel-type pants, sometimes with a T-shirt.
28. What's in your bag?
Everything! -laughs- I've always got my backpack with me, and at any given time it may hold several pens, a clipboard, some RPG books, a fantasy novel, CD-player and CDs, candies, and every now and then a granola bar or a coke. I may not have made Eagle Scout (got too old), but being a Boyscout did something for me.
31. What is your favorite pair of shoes?
Probably this pair of gray tennis shoes. though i've been told they aren't 'really' tennis shoes. Upper-middle-class punks. They're tennis shoes if I say so. -giggles- I really only have a few pairs -- my tennis shoes, my black formal shoes, and my sandals. What else do I need?
35. Would you rather be a hobbit, an elf or a dwarf?
Well, that's a rather odd question. I'd have to go for Elf, for their grace, beauty, and wisdom.*nbsp; -nods-
36. What are the first five things you would splurge on if you were a billionaire?
-laughs- Well, the aforementioned house, for one, and probably a near-top of the line Computer to go with it. Then a decent car -- small, blue, nothing fancy -- and probably round out my collection of RPG Books. That's four, I guess my fifth would be for a vacation somewhere, either Japan, Ireland, or Germany, I think.

Date: 2003-04-08 02:01 pm (UTC)just because performers die (And Paul and Ringo are still going strong) does not mean they will be "be lost to the mists of time" Ever heard of Mozart?? I think he's been dead for a while, but I think people still listen to his music. Or even more contemporary, people still listen to Buddy Holly. The Beatles revolutionized the rock world in ways that are still felt today. Rock would not exsist the way it does today if not for them. Musicians like that are simply not "lost to the mists of time" ever! And well you spelled their group name wrong *laughs and sticks out tounge* Its BeAtles with and A *^^* you silly chu.
(is a massively big beatles fan)
-cowers defensively-
Date: 2003-04-08 02:26 pm (UTC)Admittedly, the Beatles DID make a huge impact on Rock, and I recognize them for that. And granted, even as I wrote 'a few' I knew someone would read that as literally 'three' when I simply meant 'given time.' Yes, it may be decades from now when people are still listening to the Beatles. It may be 2300ad, and some number of people will listen to the Beatles the way that they listen to Mozart. But give me 5 years, and I will guarantee you that people, especially the younger generations, will start to forget who they were. -shrugs- I'm not down-playing THEM at all. That's just the way history works.
Curiously, though, did you ever see the move The Patriot?
Further more, though, the comment was meant mostly to point out my opinion that many people couldn't name all four Beatles (my brothers, for example) but even then, they just look at what the last guy put. It's like putting a question on the survey to the effect of "What are all 50 Capitols in the United States?" You see?
And, uhm, on a final note, my spelling's never been one of my strong points... so sue me. ^_^;;

Yes you have!! Remember when you first put on all the Setsuna gear, and Parker did you up all purdy? I'd say that constitutes a makeover, since previous to that day, you'd never worn leather pants, or a low-cut duster, or a big gaudy silver cross around your neck, or three hoop earrings, or a bunch of makeup, or had your hair sprayed blondeish. ::nods firmly::
