Wow, tonight was awesome!

Tonight was the Dance, and it was just great -- about the best night I've had all semester. It started off with me and Jim getting up to The girl's room at about 7:00 and, as always, it was one of those "Hurry Up And Wait" deals. We'd had our lives threatened if we didn't get there at 7:00, but the girls weren't nearly ready until about 7:45. Durring that time, the six of us -- Me, Jim, Steve, John, John (Pizio), and Justin -- got some time to know eachother. Each of our dates -- Becky, Meg, Katie, Brookie, Rose, and Carrie, in order -- took about all day getting ready. Just before we left, John (Saroca) and Amber showed up, accompanied by D and [some girl]. We all headed out to the metro, but no one knew where we were headed. Well, not really.

We finally got to the Dance, and were easily the first ones there. But, being the crowd we were, we made a party ourselves. Others started comming in at about 9:00 or 9:30, and the DJ was actually playing some good stuff. It was a blast, we were all up and dancing and having a great time. Meg and Becky, who had litterally spent all day getting make-overs, looked wonderous, and the way Carrie danced...! Wow, just... wow. O.o T'night was the first time I'd met Amber, a Voice-Major, and we hit it off real well. I danced with her about as much as I did with Becky, and we got plenty of time to sit and chat. She's a really nice girl, pretty eyes, too. She also let me give her my jacket after we got back to campus at 1am, and the wind was cold. It was really cool.

I saw some other friends there, too, including Desi and Nina, Sweet, Charlie (my RA), and a freshman buddy from Religion class. poor guy -- he'd come with a friend, Lisa, because she'd been set up on a Blind Date, and... well, he was back-up incase that fell through. i think it was a pretty low shot on her part -- she's a cool girl, but I don't think she realized what it meant to him... They rarely do, I think. Anyways, I got to chat with him a bit, and he was saying he wanted to ask Lisa on a date sometime... He's a cool kid (heh, kid, he's easily 18 himself) and I hope he does well enough for himself. I like that guy.

All in all, though, it was a blast. I got to spend alot of time with a group of people who, really, are the people I'd LIKE to be spending time with. Carrie, and DD, and Becky, and Meg, and Katie, and Brookie, and John, and Justin, and Jim -- it was just great hanging out with these people and... wow. Just wow.

It was awesome!

Unfortunately, I came home tonight and had a message from Johnny, saying that we have a 'Practice' Confirmation tomorrow at 10am. Now, not only have I already done this three times -- my favored one being with Meredith (I love you, Mere) -- but you would THINK they might let me know a little bit more than TWELVE HOURS ahead of time. I mean, not only has it been several weeks since I heard from them, period, but it's not like I've been out all day, either. I was still in the room until 7:45, easily, and hadn't heard a word. I have half a mind to just not go -- I'm tired as it is, anyways, after today. But, I probably will... It's the 'right' thing to do, anyways, and it will get me out to see more of the family, anyways. And I'll get an excuse to drive Skeeve (what I've named The Blue Car) more, and that's always a plus. For now, bed, so I can get up sometime between 8:45 and 9:00, get a shower, and see about this Confirmation thing.
