End Of Days, Director's Cut

And so ends my Spring Break.
Last night I had intended on getting in bed at Midnight, and sleeping until 6am, for six hours of sleep. Alas, Trevor chose right then to return to the room, and proceeded towards the internet and turned his music on. I crawled into bed, hoping he might take the hint, or at least I'd just fall asleep. Neither happned. I'm not sure when I conked out, but I was awoken again between 3am and 4 am when he was still up reading. I was awake again around 5am, after having an odd trip-related dream, and my alarm went off at 6am. I got up, showered, packed, and hit the road at 6:30.
For one reason or another -- general driving complications I believe -- I was listening to the radio the great majority of the way down. I ended up listening to Country as I rounded the bend of Richmond, which didn't help me deal with thoughts of Claire. I tried to concentrate on Amanda, but it was mostly futile. Eventually the station was changed, and thoughts faded.
I got to St. Matthew's at around 9:30, almost exactly three hours after I left. I figured that she would likely get there around 10:30, so I tried calling her Cell Phone. Apparently, she doesn't have a Call, and I got her Home. Luckily for my general ego, Sara answered, and I played around with her, as she wasn't aware that Amanda was meeting me.
When Amanda got there, we walked around St. Matt's for a while, chatting on the swings until 11:30 mass. I must admit here that, first off, she wasn't explicetly attractive. Her mouth was wide, her eyes bulged, and her braces looked odd. Went to mass, and afterwards talked with Joey and JR -- who we both thought was VJ!! Apparently, VJ's as tall as me. Weird. Additionally, Joey and Jenny are both going into the Military -- Joey as a Naval Officer and Jenny as an Air Force Reserve. Weirder still.
Amanda and I went to Chesapeake Bagel Bakery for Lunch, but she had McDonalds. We chatted then for a long while as we ate, about alot of nothing, really. But we had a good time chatting, and then headed out to the beach. She got lost heading down Kempsville instead of Lynhaven, but we got back on track eventually. She has some of the cutest expressions, and it's entertaining to watch her grooving to music. When we got to the Beach, we parked and walked up and down the sand for a couple hours, just talking more on general stuff. She wanted to look for sandals, and so we walked around for another hour, with no success.
After the beach, neither of us knew what to do, so we went back to St. Matts and sat for another three hours sitting in the car chatting some more. It occured to me that she'd apparently gotten more attractive durring the day -- with her cute little habits, and her laugh... she had really pretty eyes, and an elegant kind of grace about her. She's about *exactly* my height, with shoulder-length brown hair, and she looks really good -- 'well proportioned' was her term. And she was most enjoyable to speak with, very intelligent, and we seem to agree on a great many things. I think our opinions on dating are different, but she seems to understand my philosophy.
As for the question on everyone's minds, we didn't kiss, not even a little. I wanted to. I just wanted to lean over and kiss her on the lips, or lay my head on her shoulder (granted, I've been a little tired, but...). I wish I had kissed her on the cheek before I left, as I'd planned. But I didn't want to over-step my bounds, and until she is free, we're just friends.
Definitely the best day of my spring break.
