I'm A Simple Guy

I think I've used that subject before....no matter, though, it's the first thing that came to mind.
I'm happy. Daisysweet (I do believe her name is Mel, right? But I'm not sure) replyed to my Lurker post, and I finally got to listing her as a friend. Except it wouldn't let me - or rather, it kept saying "OK, it's there" but not showing anything. That's something that bugs me about LJ, but then, I'm a CompScycho.
Anyways, I went away to play Diablo for a few hours, and missed Claire comming on (sadness). Then, I got back on and tried adding her again, but it said she was there already (happiness). And the icing on the cake was that she'd added me as a friend, too, so now I can read her journal, too. *joy*
I'm rather self-concious of commenting in her journal, though - she seems to draw some much attention! O.O;;
She's regularly got 15 wings, whereas I'm lucky t'get any comments, and 3 is alot. It's a little weird for me, but I'm sure I won't be able t'just read her life and not add my 2ยข, so, we'll see.
By the way - Mel, if you're reading this, you do look nice in your glasses. Feels kinda cliche to say it after reading all the other replies, but... I've got some, myself (Blind as a bat, I have some 20/400 vission) but I've also got contacts, which I prefer. You can tell when I'm being lazy because I wear my glasses, not my contacts. Heh heh, I've been wearing my glasses for the past two weeks, with only a couple days' exception. Oh Well.

Don't be fooled by all those replies. Up until recently (I have no idea why so many now), nobody was saying ANYTHING. So I started replying to their comments and... ta-da. I'm sure it'll go silent again... I think it's mostly because so many people list me and are listed. So... feel free to comment whenever you like.
I've never had contacts, nor thought much about getting them (outside of the coloured ones... but I have perfectly nice brown eyes, so I can't see spending $70 on that) ... plus, do bi-focal contacts really work? O_o; That's what I'd need. All this talk points to my needing stronger glasses. Gah.
::laughs:: That's great wisdom. I'd have to agree.

Date: 2002-01-15 09:49 pm (UTC)Out of curiosity (is that REALLY how you spell it?), how bad is your vision? I don't need bifocals, I'm pretty sure, buyt I do have an astigmatism (whatever that is) and, without getting technical, my vision begins to blur at about my writs, if I hold my arm out straight.
More curiosity - how many of us do wear glasses? Me, you, Rachel, Leslie (kinda), Nancy (?)..Beth likes to pretend she does...
Glasses Glasses... who's got the glasses?
Date: 2002-01-16 10:14 am (UTC)I've been wearing the damn things since 4th grade, and my eyes keep getting worse. Andrew, you're lucky you can see your wrists! I can't see past my elbows clearly. Bleh.
Contacts are cool for when you want to look nice (i.e. dances, Broadway, parties)... but I tend to wear my glasses more because I am lazy and at 7:00 in the morning, eyes don't appreciate my jabbing a little peice of forgiegn substance covered in liquid into them. They're not to receptive about that. I'm going to need to get new ones soon, simply becuase they are starting to be all bent out of shape and stuff... plus a new perscription will be needed soon anyways. I don't mind glasses for the most part... but sometimes its really rather annoying to not be able to see the clock which is on your dresser when you wake up at night. :-)
Just thought I'd add my 2 cents. :-)
Glasses(blink blink), what're those?...
