Well, today really kinda started late last night.
I'd just gotten back from Tom's and posted my Entry when I saw that Mel was replying to me in Real Time, so I e-mailed and asked her to get online. She did, and said something clever, which I didn't take the time to read until after I'd glomped her. ^_^;; It was great -- we ended up talking for two or three hours, and I still didn't nearly tel;l her everything I had to say. ^_^;; It was so much fun. But around 4am my time I regretfully had to get to sleep -- elsewise I wouldn't be awake for my lunch with Claire.
Claire kindly called me at about 8:00, but she didn't wake me -- Trevor's alarm did that (which is odd, as Trevor was still in bed until nearly 11:00). I laid in bed until 10:30, then showered and got dressed and putz around on the computer until Claire called me to let me know she was headed to Shoney's.
I managed to get there before she did, but I only just recognized her when she got out of the car. Her hair was different -- still short and blonde, but permed -- and she had a weird purse. She didn't see me, but I though it was her, so I got out and followed her into Shoney's.
(I suppose it's needless to say that it was her and we said 'hello'.)
We were seated and just started talking right off. She gave me her Memoirs to read, and I showed her my Super-Deformed Darth Vader, then she gave me some valentine chocolates. -giggles- I feel loved. -beams- We eventually figured out what we wanted to eat (though they were out of milk shakes!) and then continued talking. We chatted about her lesson at Maryland and how well it went, and how things are going with either of us, and fun stuff like that. I was quite entralled by her story about the Plates in the windows. -nods- She also said she was glad that she'd have a friend up here, because none of her highschool buddies were going to Maryland with her. ^_^;; She also got really excited when I told her Aaron said Maryland was a big Gaming school -- I pray he's correct, cause that'd be so awsome.
We got a picture of the two of us on my disposable camera as we were on our way out, and I showed her my MelMix CD and gave her her DnD books back. We hugged, and she kissed me on the cheek -- I don't think I imagined that. -joy for days-
And, then I came back here. So ended 12 hours with two of my favorite girls in the world. I think I'll go sleep, now.
OH! I almost Forgot! Mel sent me a wav file of herself, just talking about her day -- the girl had a GORGEOUS voice! -swoon- The next time I see her, I'm going to make her send me more of her recordings. -nods to this-
OH! I did forget this -- I still can't get over the fact that people really do call Claire 'Serena.' I mean, yeah, her friends, but her teachers, too? -giggles- The girl with a dozen names. Feel the envy. Or something.

LOL Quite clever, Mel. -pats head-
Hee hee, you're right, and I'm not really complaining.
It was much fun talking with Mel.
Much Love. ^_^
