All Roads Lead North

Today's been pretty alright.
It started on a really good note at about 4am last night.
I was just getting off when I saw a really nice post by Mel, and went away grinning to myself. ^_^ I went to bed, warm and happy, with a huge smile on my face. Thankee, Mel!
Got up this morning at about noonish, when Trevor decided I should be awake to see a spaceship burn through the air. I don't mean to be insensitive to tragedy, but I would have much sooner been told after I awoke on my own. I got roughly 8hrs of sleep, anyhow.
Trevor, Rose, and I went out to Cosco again this morning, which was alright. I do so appreciate the free samples, and Trevor bought me a 24-case of pseudo-coke, so I can't complain.
Then we went to Ikea. I've since decided I REALLY like Ikea, and I could have a BLAST setting up my own place. Imagine that -- ME. With my OWN place! LOL A Neko-pad, ha! -giggles-
I really liked alot of the stuff in the place, though. I didn't see much of anything techno-metalic, but I didn't really look, either. And what I saw was awesome, anyways.
Uhm, from there we went and I got my glasses adjusted - or not. They actually seemed to fit well as is, and the lady didn't do anything much than check the skrews. ^_^ I thought that was cool. We checked around the mall, but didn't get anything, and then had lunch at Fank & Stein's. Apparently it's a Hotdog-type place, but I got a Barbique Sandwich. You simply can't GET those, but I love them. -nods-
Uhm... Rose had burned Trevor a CD, and we listened to that. It was REALLY good, though looking at the tracklist it could have been organized differently. It still flowed well, though, so w00+ Found I like this song, "Rich Girl," by Sugarcult. Got back to the room at around 5:00 or so, ordered Chinese Food (all of which is eaten, sniff) and played Trevor in MtG. He built a Druid-ish deck, and I thew together a Beast deck. Admittedly, the Beasts had him stomped, so he had me switch to my Goblins, which was a bit more of a fair fight. He really had me a couple of times, but he made the rookie mistake on not attacking when he could/should. Be it the fear of losing creatures or losing life, all Newbies make that error. Not that Trevor's, strictly speaking, a newbie, but... In the end, though, his eyes glazed over as usual, and he pretty much threw the game. He had a soark there, though, for a moment. I wish I knew another way to teach players aside from 'Trial by Fire.'
Been another slow day - not much activity on LJ, and I think my mail is jammed up again. >_< Oh well. I should get school work done before tomorrow night. I've also gotta find out where people are getting t'gether for dinner this week. If it's Peggy's, I'm gonna need directions.
