Well, I suppose you all might cwant to know exactly what it was I got in my 236 cards that I got yesterday. Firstly, the 236th card was the Pre-Release Foil, a Feral Throwback. He's a 3/3 Beast for 4GG with Amplify 2 and Provoke. Talk about Timmy!

Because of him and a number of other cards I've seen, I decided that Beasts work the best with Amplify, and Soldiers probably work the worst, just based on the likelyhood of having alot of beasts in hand as opposed to Soldiers. I would say Wizards would be as bad as Soldiers, except I didn't see any Wizards with Amplify.

Provoke is also a nice ability, though it seems to me to often be a 1-shot type deal. However, I never expected to see a chump-attacker, but that's what White's gotten (I suppose the Gustcloaks may be chump attackers, but...)

A few highlights before I get down to the numbers:

I had gotten an Odussey Sac land and some 5/3 Legions Horror at one point. The Horror I think I should have kept, and I believe it resembled the Phyrexian Negator in some ways. In any case, though, I ended up trading Random Guy A the pair of them for a Grinning Demon and the Cabal Patriarch. I'm a sucker for Legends, and I've always wanted a Juzam.

As I noted earlier I won a prize in the Main Event for getting 2-1-1. This is mainly because I was playing a Black/White Cleric/Zombie deck. Legions being Creature heavy as it was, the name of the game was Creature Removal and heavy hitters, which I covered with Noxious Ghoul and Vile Deacon, backed up by a Whipgrass Entangler.
Opening Visara, the Dreadful in my pack was helpful, too.

My first Booster Draft I pulled Blue/Black, though I can't remember exactly why, going for Wizards and Zombies. Graveborn Muse is more a liability than anything else, but I pulled her just the same, due to my Zombie fetish.

My second Booster Draft I ended up pulling Blue and Black again, though I'd intended to go Red/Green or Red/White (maybe Red/Blue) in order to pack in some more Goblins. Opening a Phage, the Untouchable in your first pack has a way of changing your mind. Note -- Phage plus Cephalid Pathmage equals one dead opponent.

I also owe RedJacket my everlasting soul, as he opened and passed me a Scion of Darkness! I couldn't POSSIBLY thank him enough, and then he went on to pass me a Dark Supplicant to go with it! And to make matters WORSE, I opened ANOTHER Scion in my last pack, and was passes a second Supplicant! w00+

This having been said, I lost my first match to a guy playing Clerics and Birds, mostly because Phage, the Scions, and the Supplicants NEVER made an appearance. 5 out of 23 spells, 40 cards, and not ONE even made it to my hand. How sad is that? He agreed - with the deck I had, I should not have lost.

BUT, seeing as those three cards were ALL I wanted out of the prerelease (with the possible exception of the Ultimus and now the Havoc Demon) I was quite satisfied. Now, here's the goods:

If you do the math, you'll notice that this isn't quite 235 cards. Infact, with only a few exceptions, I left off the 55 Odyssey cards I got. However, there was some trading going on, and I listed Odyssey cards which really struck me.

Surprise, surprise, I ended up with mostly Black cards. Almost twice as many as any other color!
Oh how I love the Dark Arts.

And there you have it. I go sleep, now.

Not that Timmy!? A plausible 9/9 (possible 17/17 or bigger) Provoker for 6? AND he's a Beast! You're kidding me.
Maybe the cost isn't big enough for Timmy, but the creature is.

By the by, where did you hear about the Kilnmouth?

As compared to a possible 26/26 (plausible 8/8) flyer for 7 who can ping for a possible 21(plausible 3), yes, the throwbask isn't that timmy.

I talk to people online. I have acess to hundreds of websites. Kilnmouth is very Timmy. Very Timmy cards stand out. That's how I know about the Kilnmouth.
