Well, today ended up being alot better than it started out.
Right from the get-go it was bad. I don't dream, almost ever, and somehow last night I had a dream which just shattered my emotions. I can't remember exactly what it was, but it left me feeling very empty and alone. I crawled out of bed at about 9:15, took a shower, and actually felt pretty well, physically. It was snowing until about 12:30, and so I walked to class and back in flurries. Class was alright -- the teacher hasn't but just started to introduce the topic, but I need to read several chapters in the Bible before Thursday.

I grabbed some food at South before heading back to my room. When I got there, my mail had stopped futzing, and I recieved the letter from Amanda which she sent last night, containing pictures of Sara's baby, Epiphany. If anyone's interested, I now have 4 pics, though she's REALLY young (the age when I think most babies all look alike), but even with that she looks really cute. ^_^

Anyways, my empty feeling had developed into a generally sour mood. I sent Trevor and e-mail warning him that I might lash out (though, he seemed to think I meant physically), and then curled into a ball on my bed and 'slept' for 40 min. I think I drifted in and out of conciousness, but it was warm, and soft, and familiar.

I walked over to work, my shift being from 2 until 7. Trevor still hadn't come back, so I never even had the oportunity to lash out. Likely a good thing. Work went well, though they started out by putting me in the Galleries. It was warm down there, but I got to talk with Maggie, who said she had a basement-appartment thing she rents out to students. She gave me her number and said if I was interested that I should call her sometime so I could see the place. She's at Friendship Heights, in a suburb-like part of town, and only a few minutes from a metro Stop. Depending on how things go, I may look into it. It'd be nice to have a nice set-up like she was talking about.

A little later they put me up in Coat-check, which meant I got alot of time to sit and read, which is good, as my knee was bothering me. I started reading some of C.S. Lewis's non-fiction works, and I've decided I really rather admire the man, just as a person. He was at once mirthful and serious, successful and humble, and a very faithful man. In a sence, he's very much who I'd like to be. I even got a good quote from him: "I begin to suspect that the world is not divided into the Happy and the Unhappy, but into those who like happiness and those who, odd as it seems, really don't." I could sit and ponder the implications of such a thought for hours, easily.

At break I got the last 4 pieces of pizza that were provided for the staff. It was good. After that, I ened up in Addmissions with Hazel, this cute girl who almost seems to have an english accent. She's great, because we crack eachother up aLL the time, teasing and joking and everything. Said she, "I missed you. Not missed-you missed you, but you know, I missed you harassing me." Said I, "Good, cause I missed harassing you." We both laughed for a while after that, as she hit me repeatedly for being so mean. If anything, she'll keep me at that job.

OH! And I got a check for over $200! That nearly TRIPLES my account! Now I should be able to afford Katsu AND the PreRelease, no problem. ^_^

After getting back from work, I chatted with Kim, and managed to make her happy (I LIVE for pleasing my friends) and then went over to work DiffEQ with Jim. His roomie helped us a BUNCH with the Calculus of it all, and I think I've got it no problem, now. I just with the Proff would've explained it better. I'm hoping to get with Jim tomorrow before class to finish it up.

Finally, Aaron invited me up t'night to play -Gasp- of all things, Hero's Quest! w00+! I haven't played that since I was, like, 6. We were at the Squire Family Reunion, on my mom's side, and we played this game with orcs and goblins and mummies -- I think I played the Wizard. I also had my first encounter with REAL D&D way back then, when me and my cousin tried playing Dragons or some such. We only vaguely knew what we were doing, but it was fun. Yes, my Geek roots run deeper than many of you were probably aware.

Anyways, I got up there and Aaron was setting up, explaining the expansion sets he had. Me and Dan we're each playing two characters, and I chose the two pieces I thought were the coolest looking - an Elf and a Barbarian. Of course, after having chosen pieces and characters, it turns out that mY pieces were girls! LOL How much does THAT figure. So I was running around the dungeon with Beorn and Saria. It was fun stuff. We completed 4 quests in three hours, and agreed to do it again later in the week. It was SO awsome. I even brought up the fact that Aaron should run a D&D campaign or something, and I think he might consider it. w00+

"Let me get this straight -- he's hanging out with girls instead of playing HeroQuest with the three of us guys, and this makes him a loser? I KNOW I missed something..."

Good times, good times.
