A puzzle of a million pieces...

jackofallgeeksOh wow, I was really pumped just a minute ago, and now I feel like I'm on the edge of crashing. Whew. Adjusting to School again is taking more out of me than I'd been prepared for.
Today got off to an... interesting start. I dragged myself out of bed at around 9:30, figuring I had about an hour to get ready before running off to class, so I skipped shaving again. Someone please remind me to do that before I got to bed. It's not that I really need to -- my family in general isn't hairy -- I just want to keep up with it from now on.
So, anyways, I take my shower, fire up the computer, do my little morning-deal, and run out at 10:25, expecting to now be late for my 10:30 class in Pangborn. Except, I got there to learn that it's Wednesday not Thursday, and DiffEQ, not Religion. It's at 11:10, Dimwit. SO I take my extra time to run over to the book store and check out what I need to buy, and then check in with Bonnie, my old boss, and see if I could get a job from her. She was really glad to see me, too! Turns out Aaron, who should have taken over for my abscence last semester, could hardly work at all, and so the Labs were a mess and they didn't have a Techie. Since I knew the equipment (I helped Aaron put it all together the first semester) and i'm going to be here next year, I would be a great accet to her. She didn't think she could give me more than 10hrs a week, but that would come to about $70 a week and FREE WEEKENDS, so I was all about it. Filled out some paperwork for her, then went to class.
Afterwards I got some White Pizza for lunch and went to get my books from the store. I managed to get everything I needed for the low, low proce of $400! -facevault- On the plus side, a buddy got me the Religion books for $15 total instead of $25 each, so that helped alot. Also got a couple new Notebooks and pens, so I'm feeling good about my classes now. I might even manage to get organized. Whee.
Came back to my room at about 2:00, and my next class was at 3:45. Checked my mail, then crawled in bed and got a full-on nap for the next hour. It was grand. Trevor said it was kind of short, but to me it was blessed eternity. After that I got up and trudged off to Class. It was alright - walking to the next one at 5:00 though, it was starting to get REALLY cold out. My Wednesday night class is taught by Skip, and he's a decent guy. Lets us out for dinner at about 6:30. It was REALLY cold by then, but amazingly my pizza stayed warm through the trip back to class from the dining hall.
Got back to my room, finally, to find an E-mail from Lennox (my boss at JP2) asking when I was available. Apparently they're open all week next week 'cause of the March for Life or something. I'm not sure how keen I am on still working there, as it's getting harder and harder to work my schedual with them, but I'd feel bad for just leaving them hanging. So I figured I'd offer Tues, Thurs, and Fri next week, but say that I really wasn't sure of my availability this semester.
And I would have, had Bonnie not e-mailed me. She'd worked out a schedual for me that came up to 12hrs a week and left a good part of my free time durring the week open. Infact, most of my Tuesdays, Thursdays, and all of Friday was still open. So, if I pull it off, I can work for Bonnie, get some additional hours at JP2, and STILL have my free weekends. w00+! So I let Lennox know my openings, and said I'd like to work when I could though I may have limited availability as the semester went on. I may be getting as much as 20hrs of work a week (that's 20hrs of Cash) and still have my weekends open like I wanted. As long as this gives me enough time to keep up with my school Work-load, I'm all set. With Cashflow! w00+!
