I don't know... maybe the second half is accurate, but...

Wow. I so was not expecting that. Honestly, there's a lot more to Van than his sex drive. A lot more. Did you read the disclaimer at the top of the quiz before you took it? I said there would be gross generalizations made in the interests of not spoiling too many things. I guess all I can say is that Van is my favorite Nabokovian male...and it's not just 'cause he's sexy. He's really interesting, and I think you'd enjoy reading Ada for some of the ideas on time and reality, etc.

LOL Gee, I'm curious as to WHY you're so surprised to see it pegged me as Van. I assure you, there's much more to me than my sex drive, too.  ^_~

I think I may take you up on that and read the book -- though I confess, I'm a bit leery of Nabokov, due to his apparent preoccupation with sex. I am rather intrigued by notions of time and reality, though...

Well, the more I think about it, the more I think you're actually pretty well-suited to Van. But I was honestly expecting you to get either Cincinnatus or Dreyer (no one has gotten either of those yet, though...they must be lonely).

I don't think Nabokov has a "preoccupation" with sex at all. He uses it, yes, but it's never at the core of a story, and I don't think it detracts at all from the beauty of the novels. It barely even shows up in Invitation to a Beheading and Despair, and not at all in Pnin.

^_^;;  Yeah, I thought Van kinda fit. Though, from the answers I saw i thought Pnin might be my better result. I haven't seen who those other guys are -- maybe I should take the test again.

LOL! Wow, thank you Leslie. I'm quite flattered that you'd pick out Cincinnatus for me. ^_^;; Wow.
I took it again and, changing a few answers slightly, got Dreyer. Then I looked at ALL the answers and, actually, the only ones that I don't think would fit me would be Humbert and that... other guy, who's name escapes me. The red one. Anyways, Cinci just rather struck me, and he and Dreyer seemed to really fit. ^_^;; Good eye, yes.

Anyways, I lost my train of thought. Like I said, I'll see about checking Nabokov out, i'm just a bit hesitant is all (plus I have a million other books I need to read...).
