Another Day...

Well, for the record, today is starting off much better than yesterday. It's actually starting off better than most days. ^_^
Firstly, Amanda came on and the first thing she said was "you're so cute." Odd, being as she hasn't seen me in years, but... I asked her where that came from and she said "i dunno. there's just something about you that screams 'I'm cute and i don't even have to try.'" Whee. ^_^;; It doesn't take much to get me in a good mood, it's just a matter of it happening.
After that, Claire jumped on real quick to say "Hope you had a lovely day! Write me some poetry if you have nothing to do ^_~..." This also improved my mood. Not that I'm very good with poetry... I did have a half-formed idea for a snippet last night.
Which brings me to why I shouldn't be in a good mood. I got NO sleep last night. I got in bed early, like I wanted to, at 11:00. But then I woke up thirsty and overheated to see Gene STILL on the computer with the window and door closed. It was like an oven! He was still on the computer when I drifted into unconsciousness again. I woke up later to the roaring of the wind, and the slats of the blinds slapping loudly against the window (I'd opened it to cool the room off). It sounded like the surf, as it did yesterday morning, but now it was the surf during a great storm. I laid there listening to it for a long while, cause I do enjoy the sound of the surf (artificial or not), and then I closed the window some to cut down on the noise, whereupon the wind started to howl. I was just finally drifting off to sleep again when Dad came in to get us up.
Anyways, though, I stayed conscious long enough to eat some breakfast (italian sausages with spicy mustard) and check my mail, and then went back to bed for a couple hours. Got up, got showered, and I actually feel really good. It's odd. Though, I can feel in the back of my neck that I'm going to crash if I don't keep busy. Claire may end up swimming in bad poetry before the day's out.
