Today was a really pretty good day - I had work from 10:00-5:00, which means chashflow (well, soon at least, right now I only got $40). i'm told we get paid on Friday. That will make me Joyous.
today I was in the PPHR (read: quiet room) and not only that, but all our groups cancelled today, so we were just getting 'walk-ins,' meaning it was quieter than usual. On the plus side, I got alot of reading done (first my Philosophy Homework, then a Fantasy book Claire's letting me borrow). On the down side, it c-r-a-w-l-e-d by so slowly!

After work, my dad came over and took me out to dinner at this lil'steak house place in Roslyn. Granted, not the BEST steak I've ever had, but it was really good, and infinitely better than CollegeFood. Then, since that didn't take us long at all, we went out to see a movie - He wanted to see "The Barbershop" but I wasn't all that interested. We WOULD have gone to see "The Ring," but neither of us was in the mood to see a Horror Flick. We ended up seeing The Tuxedo which, while not the best Jackie Chan movie I've ever seen, was pretty good - and Jennifer Love Hewitt is always pretty (I didn't like her in Scream, though. If you wonder why, we could discuss it). I also saw previews for a few movies that I might want to see - a poster for "Slap her - she's french" which I think I want to see just on principle - and then a preview for some other movie...a comedy, but I can't remember what. Most of the humor was slapstick, though... I like more 'intelligent' humor, typically. Dad liked the look of "The Core" but i'm not sure how much i'm into the Appocalyptic Movies.

Oh, Rachel, some movies we need to watch over Thanksgiving - "A Fish Named Wanda," "Momento," "A Beautiful Mind," "Dogma," "Jay And Silent Bob...," "Blade 2," and perhaps the new "Vampire Hunter D." Just a few suggestions, and i'm afraid I'll forget them if I don't mark them now. Somewhere in conversation dad mentioned Wanda, and I know Leslie's made note of her before... Anyone else out there have ideas for movies I need to see (regardless of if I see them with Rachel or not)?

Then dad took me out to get new shoes - the onex I had started breaking down, and had wholes on the bottom that sucked water up into my socks when it rained. So we went to Target and grabbed some Size 11 shoes, then he wanted t'see if there were any good movies t'buy. He didn't see any, but on our way we passed by food - and I was kinda out. So he had me grab a couple cases of Coke. Then handed me some Pringles. And Pudding. And Nerds. And Goldfish. And Popcorn. And Starburst. And SweeTarts. Mind you, I'm CARRYING all of this (plus my shoes) in my arms, and I get to the point where I can barely walk, and start laughing - which didn't help much. I found Great Humor.

I'm getting tired of hearing about this Sniper Guy. I mean, you have to understand, he started shooting right by my gramma's house. That Moble he hit was the one I ALWAYS go to for Gas. And the Micheal's he hit was where Louis used to work. And the fact that he's going South (into MY Virginia) doesn't help much. But, I just don't want to be hearing it 36-7 the way they've been doingf it. Firstly, the odds of him getting any single individual are worse than the odds of that same individual winning the lotto. I understand a certain amount of tension, but if he's going to hit you from 1000yards and kill you on the first shot - they hell do you think you're going to do t'stop him? Yeah, there's reason to be a little nervous, and we better damn well be trying to find this bastard - but just go about your normal lives, people. Hiding isn't going to accomplish anything.
End Mini-Rant.

So yeah, had a nice night out with my dad. Work Tomarrow at Noon. Whee!

Cool
