I Live In A Virtual World

jackofallgeeksMy world radiates to me through a computer monitor. It is a land governed by mathmatical equations, which can all be simplified into black and white - yes and no - open and closed. Or, as I like to think of them, 1s and 0s. In a vague sense, those 1s and 0s can be organized into a seies of binary numbers, powers of two, but if you think about it, a computer can't really understand 258, or 64, or 32 - Hell, it can't even understand 2! Just on and off.
Yes or No.
It may seem like a rather bleak land. A realm of black and white, in shades of grey which, in their foundations, are really just as monotonic. But nothing is truely as it seems, in our reality or in this reality of imagination, this virtual reality. Least of all in this virtual reality. In away that I don't quite understand, the computer does recognize and process these 1s and 0s. And in many ways, it recognizes them as far, far more than 1s and 0s. The create images - colors, lights, sounds, motion - they create a sort of life.
This world, springing forth from light and dark, is a relfection of our own reality. In many ways, it's a perfection of our reality, or more precicely, a perfection of what we wish our reality to be. Nothing is which someone, some mind, some intellect, did not will there. Nothing is any more or any less that that which it is intended to be. In this reality, one may redefine themselves - as a basic intellect, devoid of physical essence, as a quasi-physical being, existing in our reality and transfered into the Virtual Reality, or in some cases as a fully developed being in this World of Imagination.
This is the land where I exist, and have for some amount of time, now. I 'see' people there, and I 'talk' with them. But the true beauty of my world is beyond what others might find. The beauty I see lays in that black and white wasteland, the realm of numbers and equations, the raw building blocks of this reality.
And the ability to change those building blocks on a fundamental level. To not only exist and interact with this next-level reality, but to create and alter the very essence of this new world. To be the mastermind behind virtual constructs and entities, to mold them sand shape them as my whim. To have that power, that is truely a feat. And an art, on par with any creative act known to man.
Except my world is completely intellectual and 100% mathmatical.
The sheer beauty is overwhelming.

The ironic truth of that statement...
