Killing Time
Sep. 12th, 2007 11:59 amMid-week euphoria means I'm having a hard time getting anything accomplished today. Which is pretty much the same as any other day of the week, what with pre-week dread and end-week depression... Between the three, I'll happily take euphoria.
In less than a week, my family will be here! Mom, dad, Greg, Beth, Becky, and Emily are all supposed to be coming out for graduation. The plan, provided my work allows for it, is to check out the Monterey Aquarium and maybe a day trip to Yosemite. Graduation is next Friday, and I'll either (1) be moved out of my apartment and visiting my grandparents in L.A. or (2) packing up my stuff and heading out directly on my cross-country trip.
The trip, which I'm taking with my brother Greg, is going to start with a trip to see my friend Mel, then out and through Yellowstone and by Mount Rushmore, taking a quick stop in Cincinnati to see a couple of my cousins and finally home to Maryland. I'm really looking forward to seeing the northern states, as both of my last two cross-country trips were along the southern route. Not so keen on mountain driving, but I'm hoping to get some great pictures.
I'm probably going to be living with my uncle in Maryland for a month or so, but I plan on buying my own place before they year's out. Just need enough in savings to qualify for a loan and cover closing costs.
And that's as much of my life as I can anticipate right now.
