Beware the wrath of a patient man.
Nov. 2nd, 2006 03:15 pmMore and more, I'm thinking it's in my best interest to leave the world of Windows behind. I'm lucky in that I not only feel Linux is accessible to me, but also can accomplish the tasks I want my machine to perform better than Windows could. Add on the fact that there's apparently an emulation service for online games -- Transgaming.com -- and the things I've heard about wine (the Linux tool not the alcoholic beverage), and there are fewer and fewer reasons for me to stay where I am.
The new Vista EULA gives me another few reasons to leave, most notably the fact that their licensing scheme is even more draconian than the one for XP which I've already been frustrated with.
Annie is most likely the last Windows machine I will purchase for myself.
