Very well done! It was a difficult test and you all but aced it. You have much more than a grasp of good English, you have command of the language. You've clearly read a great deal, and it's possible you studied English in college. |

You are very supportive of your gay community. We thank you very much. If only more people were as supportive of us the way you are, we'd live in a progressive nation, like Canada. Scratch that, let's just print up the signs, and go to a good ol' fashioned gay pride parade!!! |

Today's English Lesson
Jun. 7th, 2005 02:36 pmOK, so, I have a sort of love for language and grammar. It's really quite twisted. But this means that I'm a big fan of proper speaking, and writing, and grammar, and all that fun stuff. Of course, my mom makes a point of noting every time I say "Me and The Boys are doing such-and-such," but that's not the point.
One bit of grammar that's always eluded me, though, is the correct use of quotation marks. So, as I was thinking of this today, I went and looked it up in a reference guide, and thought I'd share the pertinent bits I found.
