jackofallgeeks: (Contemplative)
I think Ms. Kincaid pointed this out once before, but I never got around to watching it. My brother just posted a link, and I'm killing time, so I watched it. And I really liked it.

So if you haven't before (or maybe even if you have), give it a shot.

So, Emily suggested that I Update my journal while I'm killing time before meeting her for dinner. Apparently, my comment yesterday about MORE was unsatisfactory. -laughs- But, Zach's out in the ether (as is often his wont), Mike's doing his play-acting thing, and Curtis is asleep on the couch, so why not? Just home the next 25 minutes are enough to say, y'know, stuff and such.

As a note, and I feel it should be patently obvious, this Emily isn't the same as The Other Emily, nor Louis's lil'sister. I haven't spoken to either Becky nor Emily in a very long time, and it makes me a little sad. Not for lack of trying, though, and so the fact that it boils down to The Twins ignoring me kinda upsets me. But I'm sure there are extenuating circumstances, as I've found there often are in interpersonal interactions.

I did, however, recently hear from Alison. She's doing well, which is nice. She's 'back home' these days, though she says she's moved out of her parents house, and is looking to start working again soon. It was good to hear from her.

I told Emily there wasn't really anything note-worthy that happened last night, but that's not entirely true. Zach got in, though he arrived after sitting in his own vomit when, after becoming nautious in the car, his 'friend' Paul wouldn't pull over for the guy. He, Curtis, and I got some M:tG packs and did a mini-draft, though I think I've concluded that Three People is hardly enough for a propper draft. You simply don't get the card sets you need to really have cohesion. I drafter a Blue-White deck which was supposed to be spiritcraft-based but, lacking the appropriate cards, is little more than a gum-up-the-ground-and-swing-with-fliers deck. Curtis said it's not a bad deck though, all things considered. The draft, predictably, played to a draw with each of us earning 3 points, so we're gonna try and have some sort of tie-breaker tonight sometime.

I guess I should have warned you all that it was OK to stop reading after the 'vomit' line. I'm sure most of that was unintelligable to you all.

Something did happen last night that I consider of worth, though. That is, I was once again inspired to write -- there were two other times before, both inspired by music -- but this one was pertinent to 'that story' that I started writing at the beginning of last year. And again at the end of last year. And again in the middle of the summer. And again at the end of the summer... But, anyways, it reaqlly all boils down to getting Stephen to work at TheGuy's bookstore; whether the story starts with him there or not, find, but I need to know why he's there, and it's not as simple as one might think. In particular, working at this nitch-bookstore isn't his first pick for a career, and hiring him isn't exactly the owner's first choice either, so they both need some pressing circumstances to get them in that position. But then I can start messing with things, and showing Stephen Stuff He Shouldn't See, and things like that...

But, anyways, it's about time for me t'get going. So I will. Get going. Now. I think...
