Two days is a long time for an addict...
Mar. 29th, 2004 11:00 pmHaven't made a post in a little while.
Not much to say.
Been busy. Tired.
Classes are alright. Boring, mostly, and aside from Metaphysics and some of Creative Writing (the class itself almost having become a chore now), I'm mostly waiting for them to end. We got our Apartment set up -- it's going to be Me, Mike, Zack, and Curtis one floor up and one door over. I'm hoping to get a White Wolf game going next semester, potentially Vampire: The Requiem. I think I trust Mike and Zach the most, and I expect to have Curtis and maybe Tom play, too.
My Muse, who needs a name yet, inspired me for a beginning to Chapter Two. I took notes and I've been editing, but I haven't yet satisfied her with a Chapter Two. I'm trying to bring my Chapter One more to life, and I think I'm going to expand my description of Maggie, in an effort to show more than tell. I need fewer adjective and more description all around, too, I think.
"Boo," she said, as she sat down to my left and a little in front of me after having danced with one of the other 'gentlemen' there. I still begrudge him that, but nothing's official, and all's fair... She is quite beautiful.
I saw Suzannah yesterday night, for the Contra Dancing group-thingie. She was wearing a red skirt-and-sweater deal; I've seen the skirt before, with it's silver bearings. -smiles- She let me borrow some CDs, Tchaikovsky; Slavonic March, she said, is her favorite march. As I was leaving home this weekend, dad asked me what my relationship to her was, as a way of asking if I had plans of introducing them to her. Which I do. But the fact that we've been on several walks, gone out to dinner a couple times, been to a dance together, and I now see her on a nigh-weekly basis, nothing's official. -smirk- I have every intention of it being official, sometime, but I fear rushing anything, or botching things, and being as she has a couple years of school yet, she may no need the added consideration... Her birthday is next Tuesday...
Talked to Anastasiya, which was good. -smiles- She sounded happy, and it was good to hear that in her voice again; it'd been lacking the last few times I'd talked with her. I do wish her well.
I got to hang out with my brothers, Gene and Josh, this weekend, too. Gene and I stayed up easily until 3:00 or 4:00 talking on Friday night. That was grand. And Josh showed me that maybe I was looking at Changeling: The Dreaming in the wrong light; with the right turn, and the right story, it could be suitably dark as to fit my tastes... (Suddenly it occurs to me, perhapse Ms. Suzannah would be intrigued by a Changeling game... she does like faeries...) It's always good to see my brothers.
And I guess that's about it... I'll leave you be now, and perhapse get back to editing/writing...
