I don't think I really have much to say. I can't even believe that this could be going on -- it's obvious that he (Schiavo) has no concern for her life, and is in actuality actively trying to kill her, and yet he's able to maintain guardianship over her? With a word, he can deny treatment, rehabilitation, AND visitation? He's got a mistress and two illegitimate children, for crying out loud, and refused to allow a priest to visit her!
This infuriates me on a number of different levels, not the least of which due to the fact of how I believe a husband and wife should behave as regards each other. He is actively trying to kill her. If she wasn't mentally injured, this would be an open-and-shut murder case. And to top it all off, she suffered the injury when "she collapsed at her home 13 years ago under mysterious circumstances at the age of 26." Like that's not suspicious as all hell.
I don't know, maybe I over-estimate his early motives, but he definitely wants her dead now. It's disgusting to think that we not only live in a society where this is conceivable, but where it's actually happening as well.
