What? Oh, right, Internet...
Oct. 14th, 2003 01:37 amSorry I haven't updated in a while, I've been out having a life. Really. No, really. I have.
Fine, don't believe me.
Friday afternoon I went up to Baltimore to visit Anastasyia again, and we had to go all the way back down to Columbia to get to a PF Chang's. Since I'd forgotten my pictures and we were in the 'general' area anyways, we went back to CUA, where she had a quick introduction to my roomies, and then, since we were in the area anyways, we went over to her house where I got a introduction to her dad. She says I was nervous; I was laughing for no reason. Maybe I was nervous. Her brother was sleeping.
Saturday, I took Anastasiya to pick up tickets for the Lord of The Rings Trilogy showing on December 16th -- we waited in line for over two hours, and were very afraid we wouldn't make it! We got out four tickets (Anastasiya, her roomie, her buddy, and I), and there were only nine tickets sold after us! The owner was the coolest guy in the world, talking up and down the line and just generally being friendly. She and I went to Panera to celebrate.
That afternoon, I went over to Alyce's, where she and Brittany made me their Random Camera Guy. -smiles- The two of them are very photogenic. Though, those shoes of Brittany's still scare me! O.o Then we went and had dinner, and I had a really good steak with really good bread and a potatoe, and Brittany gave me some of her margarita (to try it) and most of her House Drink (cause she didn't like it). In about eight more months, I'll be able to get those myself. Then we had Ice Cream at a place where Alyce said I shouldn't tell Jaime we went to, or she'll cry. I'm so boring, but I love me some vanilla ice cream. ^_^ And THEN Alyce told us some Gettysburg Ghost Stories; a few of them creeped me out. But we (Alyce, Brittany, and I) got into a minor discussion of Religion, Truth, and Mysticism. it was fun because, as Alyce said, it's good to have serious conversations with intelligent people. I think I'd like to do it again, sometime.
After the Ghost Stories, we went to Brittany's and watched The Ring and UHF. The Ring scared me very much so, and that is all I will say about that. UHF is horribly '80s, but sadly has enough Portner-type humor in it (non-sequiteur being a classic) that I can't help but enjoy it. I regret subjecting Alyce and Brittany to it.
Alyce and I also got some time to sit and chat just the two of us, which was very cool. -smiles- I like having time to just sit and chat with my friends.
Most of Sunday was spent sleeping. Went to the 9pm mass, which was uncharacteristically fufilling. I don't know, it used to feel... Flamboyant isn't the word, but I liked it better this week than I did last semester. And most of today, when not occupied by Baldur's Gate, we spent going to the Commissary, putting away groceries, and figuring out who owed me what from that trip. Chris spent $103.55, Curtis spent $92.69, Mike spent $101.59, and I spent $73.54. We have food now. w00+ AND, I realized exactly how much better the Commissary is over regular groceries! Go Military!
