Well, yesterday was pretty good. Learned quite a bit about JSP's, and as such almost have respect for Java now. I'm actually starting to see how Java really has alot of potential, and more applications than one might think. I'd still like to program in C++, though. Also sat down for 15min with Dustin and plotted out my new computer, which would cost about $700 before adding Monitor and Speakers. That's for a 1.8 Ghz processor, 1 GB of RAM, a 80Gig Hdd, NVidia video card and a new 52x CD-burner. After adding in a 17" LCD Monitor and 5.1 surround-sound speakers, it was still under $1100. I told dad, and he wanted me to get him the 'same' thing, cause The Boys are eternally using the EMachine. Though Dad didn't get the monitor or the speakers, he did get everything else, plus a 16x DVD player, and both computers together only cost a little over $2000. I could have EASILY spent more than that one ONE computer at some retail store, and not gotten as good a system. -nods- So, in the end, I'm going to have a 1.8Ghz processor, 1GB RAM, 160Gig Hdd, 17" LCD, 5.1 surround, 52x CDBurner, 16x DVD player, optical mouse... All I need to do is put it together and load the spftware. O.o

Due to the fact that I was trying to get alot done online yesterday, though, I didn't get out to run, and by the time I was free, it was pouring. I would have gone out, but mom wouldn't let me. I'm going t'try running another 2 miles t'night, but we're also stopping by Blockbuster on the way home, and I want t'rent "Equilibrium" and "The Transporter," as I've said. Saturday morning, me and my brothers are going out to the DMV -- me and Gene to get MD Licenses, and Josh to get his permit. Then I'm heading down to Richmond t'see Claire do "Godspell." It should be fun.

As a tangential note, I gotta talk with both of the Ladies Croft last night. And I had -real- conversations with them, too! -beams- Becky was looking at some Young Adults conference that was supposed t'take place at CUA this July, though it'd cost her about $155 t'go! A bit later, Emily and I discussed jobs and such -- she's working for this Architect down in Virginia Beach , doing drafting and such. I think she may well be the least computer-literate friend I have, though, and some of you may know exactly how bad that is. -grins- "It's all Geek to me..." And on that note, I leave you with:

You are OS X. You tend to be fashionable and clever despite being a bit transparent. Now that you've reached some stability you're expecting greater popularity.
Which OS are You?

Just as I clicked the link to take me to the update page, the Network died on us. -wince- Seems to be up now. Some of the guys think it had something t'do with the weather. We're suppose t'get more electrical storms latter on in the day...
