Hello. *waves*

Thought I might drop by and let all you who care know that I'm still breathing.
I've wanted to write some though-provoking entry.
I've wanted to rant about a few things on a number of occations.
I've wanted to stop sounding so depressed.

Needless to say, I don't think any of the above have happened as of late. ^^
Don't get me wrong, I'm doing fine - I SOUND depressed, but I'm actually pretty content.
And I had a wonderful weekend with Claire, which I do hope to share with you all at sometime.

For the moment, I'm just kind of tired, drained, confused, and numb.
As such, I don't really have much to say.
Perhaps, after I'm feeling 'more well' if you will, I'll write up a little something interesting for you people.

I Learned From My Cat

I spent this past weekend with Claire and, needless to say, it was wonderous.
On Thursday, she came up and took a tour of UofM, and seems to really like the place. I went over there to pick her up, and we walked around to a few offices that she still needed to visit, and then we rushed back over to CUA so that I could get to my afternoon class. She walked around and read outside while I sat and got talked to by a professor.

Afterwards, I didn't want to temp the Fates by trying to get the car through Traffic, so we hung out in my room until about 7:00, then went to my Gramma's house where she met, at intervals, the entirety of my family. It was really quite a mundane event, but I was happy she gotta see them. Through the weekend she seemed to get along great with my brothers, and my little sisters all loved her. It was really cool.

Thursday we pretty much just ate and got to bed, I think. In the morning, I had to get up for Class from 10-11. I went up to her room and watched her laying there for some 20min, then went off to class. Rushing home from class, I got Claire up and, having breakfast, we went out with a bunch of my little cousins to this big Park/Botanical Gardens type thing. Claire seemed to have a blast running all over with the Little People, and the gardens were really neat - who'd have thought plants could be so much fun? That evening, my Cousin Tina stayed the night and we watched some Nickelodeon movie - "Max Keeble's Big Move" - which was actually quite hillarious, I thought. ^^
We didn't get to bed until nearly 3:00am, but it was fun.

Saturday, we got up around noon and took a trip up to a national park type thing, where we rented canoes in this lake. Me, Claire, and Tina had one, and Dad, Tim, and Josh had another. Seems they had a thing for ramming us and getting us all wet... After a bit, Tina and Josh wanted off, and me and Claire paddled around a bit.
After canoeing, we took a mile hike up to some water falls which, due to the drought, were unspectacular. But the kids were entertaining, and they all wanted to be up on someone's shoulders. It was cool.

When we got back from the Lake, me and Claire went to have dinner with my roomie and his girlfriend, and on the way (and while waiting for them) we had the most incredible conversation I think I've ever had. It's rather a pitty I don't remember it, but...she's incredible...
Enough mush. We went to a chinese place where we'd gone before, and had a good dinner and it's just cool when the four of us can hang out. Claire got a little concerned on the ride back when it started raining, but we did alright. We got home at 2:00, after stopping in my room to pick up some stuff and hang out with Trevor and Rose (that would be my roomie and his girlfriend).

Sunday, Claire slept in while the rest of us went to mass (she was kinda beat) and then headed over to my Aunt's house. We got there at about 4:00 (it was a lazy morning) and Claire and I had to leave at 4:30 to get to her place for dinner. It was a pretty good drive (I often enjoy the trip more than the destination) and we had a nice Chinese-buffet dinner with her family. Back at her place, we watched "First Knight" and (finally) the first half of "Dogma." THAT is a topic for another post but, for what I've seen, it's a pretty good movie. We only saw the first half because her mom then yelled down for us to get to bed. I ended up reading a book for an hour or so before getting to bed... Monday morning, I was shoo'ed out at 9am, making the trek back to Maryland...

It was a good weekend.
