Can't. Breathe.

Need. Cable. Modem.
Well, here I am. At home. On a 28.8. Well, OK, it's a 56K, but Deer Lord It's S L O W !
I haven't written in a while. Mosatly cause I have little time to get on. And mostly cause when I get on, it HURTS it's so slow. The pain. The misery.
But, it's not so bad. I'm here in California (*waves to Mel* Hi, Mel!). The weather is...odd. Maybe it's me, and I'll still be the first one to say that the weather in Southern California never changes (72 and sunny...again...) but I'll tell ya what, it's been weird. First it'll seem cool, then I'll be sweating, then it'll be perfectly comfortable. There's fog in the morning, and it gets chilly at night (so much so that I woke up early one morning when I forgot to shut the window. And ontop of all of that, my family's become aclimated to the place. They actually feel different, I've even seen them wearing pants, and wraped in blankets. It's so weird!
I turned 19 as of May 10th, three days ago. It was rather nice, though I don't feel much different (duh, do we ever?). I got a couple pair of sunglasses, 2 shirts (yes, collared), 4 boosters of Magic Cards, a Rifts book, a pair of pants, a Mything book (hee he, get it? Get it?), and a Dragon Mug. I think my favorite gift though was a Ring around my Collar.
Home life, of course, is a far cry from Dorm life, as I think many out there can attest to. The place never changes (no matter where we move) but I'm so unaccustomed to living here. I won't say that my dorm as anything remotely resembling 'quiet', but at least it wasn't so high-pitched. I also seem to have developed a disturbing new respect for cleanliness. Not that I'm any better at it, but I can almost relate to mom when she gets upset about The Mess. I also think I needa work on my patience, too....
And so, I think that's that. With any luck, this may be my last week of freedom. I applied for a job, and it's looking good, but I haven't gotten a call from them yet. ><* If I get it, though, then I'll be programming computers for the Navy and getting paid $10/hr for it. Not ONLY is that what I wanna be doing all summer anyways (programming - I dn't care where, I don't care what) but I could make several thousand dollars this summer, too. ^___^
That'll be good when tuition rolls around in the fall.... >_<
Anyways, I got an opening, and thought I'd take it to update. I'm trying to keep up with my Friend's Page when I can. Off to the cold, cruel world of reality (a Geek's Hell...).
