It occurred to me this morning that not only do I not have any food in my apartment, but I technically have no money with which to buy more. This should concern me more, I think.

Inflamatory remarks: Kid arrested for opening Christmas Present

There are not words to express the... anger I feel at reading This. A kid is arrested for opening a Christmas present early. Well, OK, he's arrested because his mom called the cops on him because he kept dis-obeying her. And I'm skeptical of how much ADHD plays into this, mostly because medication isn't doing anything.

This isn't the first time I've heard of parents calling the cops on their kids for misbehaving, and the simple fact that they would, and have, and... It's beyond my scope of understanding.

People who can't parent shouldn't have kids.

Show Me The Money

Ok, so we've all heard that 50% of the world's wealth is held by 2% of the world's population. For me, I can say that I've always figured we're talking about Bill Gates, Michael Jordan, and other such celebrities when we mention that 2%. But according to This Site, once I graduate I'll very likely be within the top 1% richest people in the world! (And even now I'm in the top 5.4%.)

I'm not really sure how that makes me feel.

What Google Produces

A comment on a Slashdot article today made an interesting point: You are not Google's customer. You are Google's product.

I'm not yet sure what I think of that paradigm shift.

Cellphones Don't Cause Cancer

Though, this is probably WHY I can't eat...

I am very, very torn about getting the Wii. like, really. What I want, right here, right now, is the Wii, a nunchuck, and Zelda. that's $320 (plus tax). it doesn't help my sister's brother-in-law manages a GameStop and can hold one for me as soon as they get their next shipment. And if I wait for (or hope Santa brings) the nunchuck and Zelda, it's only $250 (plus tax) for the console itself. And, and, and... I'm a child on the '80s. I grew up on Mario, Zelda, and Metroid. I'm a Nintendo fanboy.

I want.

(And despite this morning's panic on food, I'll remind everyone that I'm within the top 6% richest people in the world.)

Update: Of course, it *is* backwards compatible. I never had a Dolphin. And wasn't Zelda64 ported to GameCube?
