My Realtor is writing up the paperwork for my offer on a house I saw this weekend. God willing, the seller will take the offer, or at least our negotiations won't be too bad. If everything goes well, I could have my own place by Christmas.

nice! That would be a good xmas present to yourself. How's it looking with the banks? Did rates go up cause of the credit scare?

It would, in fact, be a great Christmas present. Don't know about rates, though; I'm not sure of what they were before I asked for my quote.
