Not for the squeemish.

So, right. A number of you know that I've had ingrown toenails for, well, years. I first had them worked on when I was 16, and I've had them looked at some two or three other times in the intervening 7 years. Nothing has really worked, even though I believe I had the root "permanently removed" at least once.

Yeah, ick, I know. I'm the first person to get squicked out by bits like this.

The point is, though, that I went ahead and had something done about them today after needing to do something for about a year. When I made the appointment, I thought it was just going to be a "yup, those are ingrown, you'll need them removed, how's two weeks from Thursday work for you?" kind of appointment. Instead, I went in, then numbed me up, and took care of the whole thing.

So, I am currently nail-free. And it *should* be permanent. But we won't know that for several months. In the meantime, i'm going to enjoy walking pain-free. I think I'll start running again, too. I do so love running.

You need a partner for that running thing, I'm game. Lake James is superb to run around, and the Brandon Middle School track is within easy walking distance.

Congrats on being nail- and, hopefully, pain-free for good!!!

I know your toe-nail pain, I'm glad you've been able to do something about them. Hopefully the nail won't grow back, and I can call you a freak. [I'm just kidding, I would never say that TO you ;P]

No offense, because I love you and all, but what IS it with you disgustingly healthy people and your insistence on doing healthy things, like running? I must strive to be slothlike enough for all of you to make up for it.

Is this like sponsoring a Vegetarian? For every hour I run, you'll spend three in front of the TV, or something? -giggles-

Healthy? Me?

And, for the record, I'm hardly 'disgustingly healthy.' I eat precisely what I please to eat, which includes lots of fats, sugars, and red meat. I spend untold hours in front of my computer playing video games, and it's my impulse to drive to the store rather than walk because it's quicker. I don't exercise regularly, and certainly not for health benefits -- when I start running again, it'll be because I like running. I was on a soccer team from time immemorial, and then I took up Cross Country in highschool, just 'cause I like to run.

heheh

You're fun to tease, Andrew.

Yeah, I get that a lot.

Oh, and while I have you here, do you know if I left my PS2 power-cable up at your place? Cause I can't find it here with my stuff, and trying to get in touch with Louis (to see if he knows) is an impossible task, it seems. It'd be nice to have that, 'cause without it watching movies is difficult and playing video games (that aren't on my computer) is impossible.

hrm

i'll ask louis about it.

That is all.
