More medication

I can not express how angry This Article, on parents requesting ADHD medication to help their non-ADHD children excel in school, makes me. ADHD is something the concerns me mostly because I think it is over-diagnosed and over-medicated, and indicative of the sorts of issues I take with today's society. What really gets me angry is the harm inflicted on these kids for the sake of 'success.' It's disgusting, it's impersonal, and it's ultimately selfish.

In other words, it's contemporary society.

In a word, yes.

I remember reading about parents who would get their normal kids diagnosed with ADD for the sole purpose of letting them take the SAT's untimed.

That is sick! Like I am one of those people who actually have ADD (it's ok if you don't believe me) and it's hard enough as it is to stay focused and finish a test in time. That's just disgusting how people would even think about doing that.
