A girl who I have never met died in the time between late last night and early this morning, the victim of violence. This makes me ache, partly that she left so suddenly, but much more so for those who much continue on.

The news story on the incident is found Here.

That is incredibly sad... :(

Heatbreakingly so.
Like I said, I never knew her -- she was a friend of a friend who I never met -- but even at that I'm taking it pretty hard. I've never had to deal with death, really -- the closest I got was when I was 14 or so my Great Uncle Jim died of a stroke or something at 88. I miss him a lot, especially now when I'm old enough to really asppreciate what he might have said to me, but he lived a long, healthy, happy life, and died of 'natural causes.'

lol well, my bio-father died around 3 years ago, two half brothers died when i was in my teens and my omma died also when I was in my late teens.
From what I've noticed, it doesn't get easier to cope with but the shock value of death itself runs quite thin after a while.
