Creative Writing

Ack!! *explodes*

I had my creative writing course yesterday, and it was grand -- the teacher's really enthusiastic, and I think I could really get alot out of this class! Two of the biggest problems I've had with my writing are losing steam and not knowing where to go, and not being able to get much page-length (though, I guess the two are connected).

Anyways, I wrote her (my teacher) an email about how excited I was, and since Im a dork, showed her a link to my works. And she liked them! She wants me to print out enough opies of one or two of them so that we can pass them out on Thurseday and critique them on Tuesay! Ahhh!

I don't know if I'm immensely excited or scared out of my wits! I think I'm very happy with this turn of events! Or something. I don't know, but now I need to go pick out two pieces, and get them printed of at Leahy! Suggestions?

Whee!

i would suggest the study (1st choice) or sunglow (2nd choice)

In the end, those are the two I chose, The Study for a fantastical piece and Sunglow for a more realistic one.

Any two that you picked would be worth showing not just a classroom of students, but the world. I'm happy for you my friend, maybe this is the push you needed to get your writing going again. You need to write and write and write because you have a gift! I guess I should run off and take my own advice there, ne? Ah well, anywho, good luck and have fun with it. ^_^

Yay! :-) Sounds awesome Andrew. I went back through and found the ones I remembered liking so much. In order of preference:

- The Study
- Alchors Tome
- Alone
- The Mirror
- Sunglow
- Winter

But I'm sure any would be awesome. :-) Yay! Be sure to tell us how it goes!

Heeee. The Study was my first choice, and that got in right off. I wanted to also do Alchor's Tomb, but I didn't feel it had enough direction to it, really, and I didn't want to put out two fantastical pieces at once. I didn't want to do The Mirror because, though I liked it, it was based on a Song, and not strictly speaking my own work. I also wanted to do Winter, for a nice realistic piece, but I took Sunglow, because it has a better length. I'm gonna like this, but I'm not gonna like having my pieces torn to ribbons...

Personally my favorites were Snowfall, Sunglow and January Girl. The Study, The Mirror, and Alone came next, and I also liked Winter and Alchor's Tome.

All of your stories were pretty cool though, you are very talented. I am impressed.
