Something occured to me just now, which has never occured to me before. What if I can't have kids? Now that'd be a cosmic joke. The one thing in the world that I want, a family, made all-but an imposibility.

I've had that same thought...made worse by the fact so many women in my family can't have kids past 30...

If you WANT kids, but CAN'T have kids, then you adopt. There are a gazillion kids in this world wanting a family just as much as you do.

like the above stated comment... there is always adoption. i know that isn't waht you mean... but take it from someone who has 'female' problems and was told that having biological kids might be difficult ... there's always adoption as an option. true, they don't have your nose, or her eyes, or blood ties. but somehow that really doesn't matter once you have them in your life.

heavens, one of the best most darling babies i've ever taken care of was an adoption case - Luca. and oh, how i wished he could have been mine. sigh... i miss him so much. not even right, i tell you.
