And Really Bad Eggs...

Long story short, I've wanted a rum and coke since mid-July.
And now I am satisfied.
I go to enjoy it.

Only one thing improves rum and coke (or, in this case, rum and RC), and that is pizza crusts with honey-mustard sause.
What I'd give for some of that...

You enjoy the hell outta that rum & coke, young man. I've only been over here for two days and already I'm craving Moutain Dew - but all they've got here is 44-ml bottles of Coke and Pocari Sweat. >__<

Why'd you lock this entry?

Pay close attention, and you'll find that all my posts about drinking (yes, all three of them) have been locked.

Short answer, I just don't want to fess up to it.

I know sake's good...as for beer here...umm...I don't like beer in America, so I'm a little wary.

Hey, neither you nor I can buy it; I'm pretty sure we didn't have much of a choice.

White Russians, my friend, white Russians...

[identity profile] jackofallgeeks.livejournal.com 2003-09-19 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I really wouldn't know.  ^_^;;
That is, I really wouldn't know what one IS, let alone how to make it.

it's a shot of vodka (i think), a shot of kahlua, on ice with milk and a drop of vanilla extract. It tastes like a vanilla milk shake if you mix it right. I've only had them once, but ever since I've craved 'em.

The resident alcoholic will now speak:

First off:
Rum and coke is good. I recommend Malibu (for the coconut fun lovers) or good ole Cap'n Morgan (for the rich and not faint of heart).
Second:
White Russians. The vodka must always be double the kahlua and the cream vaguely the same as the kahlua. A warning- good starter drink, but later on the cream (or milk) will be the suck and you will puke.
Black Russians are the same sans milk. Black Russians are for the wasted.
Third:
Beer. While I have never had Kirin, I know it is a relatively light beer. There are no good American light beers. For the super light weight I can offer a nice Corona, for the more sturdy go with Amber Bock (its made by Michelob). For the die hard alkie like me, try a Guiness Extra Stout.

Alright. I think that all the alcohol knowledge I feel the need to impart. Though I would like to give a shout out to the best vodka in the world: Stolichnaya, lovingly referred to as Stoly. God bless being a dirty drunk.

We've actually been drinking Captain Morgan's, I believe, though it's the spiced kind, and I think I rather prefer the regular sort...

Had Kahlua, just straight, I think... It wasn't bad. aside from a couple Skrewdrivers, though, I've not had any experience with Vodka, let alone Russians.

Not a big beer fan. My roomie's a big fan of Guiness, and gave me some of it once. It was better than most beers I've had, but was still beer... Maybe someday...

And on that not, one night you and I will have t'get t'gether so you can show me some of this. -nods-
