...and all of us merely players...

WTF????!!!!

If Parker had done something like that while I was playing Devi, I woulda jumped him. The great thing about Parker as a GM is that he roleplayed for a long time before he dabbled in GM-ing, so he knows how attached people become to characters and situatons, and he knows what's fair and unfair for his charas to deal with. I mean, he bent an *entire session* of storytelling around Devi's burgeoning relationship with Ryan Pietrov.

I think you guys need to find yourselves an experienced GM. Or...hell, maybe you could dabble in it a bit...you seem to understand the mechanics of it all, and I thought you were quite good with Rifts. I still wish I could play Mayumi again sometimes and fight off those nasty ninja you sent after me. ^_^ Anyway, the other guys don't seem to know Thing One about how to handle situations they themselves have created! A good GM can look ahead, see how things are going, and manipulate them to make sure that there's always a way out, unless his RPers are totally incompetent.

Sorry about the mess, though - I understand why you got so pissed off. This summer, if you're back in Virginia Beach, and Parker is running the game, let's play again. Devi's still looking for who killed Ryan, after all, and Akio was one hell of a guy...I'd like to see you play him again. Or...hey, I've always liked roleplaying...maybe I could learn some finer points of Werewolf and you and I could start our own game. Oh, the possibilities... ^_-
