I just plugged in the 128MB USB drive I've been keeping my NaNoWriMo docs on.
My 7158-word novel-to-be along with other assorted notes and the like.
I just plugged it in, and it's empty.

Fuck.

*hugs* dont worry it is not the end the end of the world! It is still early enough in the month you can pick the words back up. remember the point is to just force stuff out even if its not the best thing you have ever written. I am sure you will catch up *^^*

Yeah, maybe. But my enthusiasm's taken a big hit either way. It doesn't help that today started on a low note and has just slid slowly downward since.

I do think there's a silver lining in that what I put down from here out will be cleaner than what I had -- it started to get rambling and tangled, and I had nearly written myself into a corner that would have ground everything to an awkward halt. So now I have an idea of where I'm going, and I just got 1050 words re-writing my first scene, so... -shrugs-

Like riding a bike: it hurts when you fall off, but if you don't get back on you'll never learn to ride.
