When I was a kid, I really liked Weird Al Yankovich. Non Sequiter and absurdity were and still remain high on my list of comedic preferences, and the pop-culture references were amusing, too (when I got them; what can I say, I've always lived under a rock). As I've gotten older his songs have appealed less to me because the songs he parodies are (typically) more main-stream (and aimed at teens) than I listen to and though I get more of the pop-culture references (generally), I care less about them.

All that being said, though, I really like This Song. I'm not sure, really, how to express the fact, though.  :p

Seems to me that he was kinda getting gypt'd.

Yeah, he had some really good ones in his older sets. As Louis noted above, his newer stuff (this song included), isn't quite up to par with those. I really like "Theme to Rocky XIII," "Midnight Star" (about a tabloid), and a few others (like "Yoda" and "Jerry Springer"). He's had a couple alright ones of late ("The Saga Begins" and "ode to a Superhero), but mostly it feels faded and worn.
