Ask me your questions, Bridgekeeper. I am not afraid.

You get to ask me any one question--no matter how crazy, inappropriate, etc.--and I promise to answer it truthfully. So, go for it!
(You can ask multiple questions; I will answer truthfully, but only *have* to answer the first one :-p)

Where did the people go after they died who died before Christ was born?

I'm not mocking you. I'm curious as to what you think.

I'm certain I don't know. I imagine there are a great number of useful theories, though. Maybe they were punished under the old covenant, though I imagine that would suck for them. Maybe they went to 'limbo,' though I doubt it, as I'm fairly sure what I refer to when i say 'limbo' is that state of being for holy innocents, like stillborn babies and such. Maybe, being as God exists outside of time and Christ's sacrifice is an Eternal act, it doesn't much matter that they died before Christ temporally speaking, and they get the same deal as any of us -- though, I imagine there would need to be a few alterations made, as they couldn't have the knowledge we have.

I'm not generally in the business of saying who is and is not getting into heaven; and if you read carefully, neither is the Catholic Church, strictly speaking. I imagine there could be some teaching of the church on this point, but I've never bothered to seek it.
