A Letter Unsent

Truth be told, Suzannah, you've been gone for about a month and I'd just like to see you again. I confess I was really disappointed when you said you wouldn't come to dinner; I'd been looking forward to it for a couple weeks. Partly because you'd mentioned that you liked architecture and I wanted to show off our two houses, and partly just because I hadn't heard from you in a while and I'd begun to miss you. So, yeah, email is wonderful and all (so long as it's real conversation and not just the little notes that get passed around so often), but it'd be really nice to just spend some time together, even if it's just sitting in the shade and talking about dead Greeks.

So, what do you guys think? Good? Overdone? I'm afraid to say I've missed her; I already told her once that I'm quite fond of her, and I don't want to cross any lines if it can be avoided. I donno. What's your opinion?

Short, sweet, and not off-putting in the least. Friends can miss one another as well...though she may not construe this "missing" as a friendly sort, in light of your previous confession. Even still...there's no need to behave like you aren't fond of her. You're hardly dripping on her or whining at her; I say send it.

Seems to me that honesty would be the best way to go. Affords her the same privledge, yanno?

Just remember what my Mom used to tell me. Don't ask a question if you might not want to hear the answer.

oh andrew!
