Does anyone know of a word who's definition is "someone who is sick"?

The ailing? The incapacitated by illness?
I dunno. If there's one word for it, I've never heard it.

http://thesaurus.reference.com/search?q=sick%20person
case, convalescent, emergency, inmate, invalid, outpatient, shut-in, sick person, subject, sufferer, victim
I also like "sickie" tho the dictionary claims that's only for the mentally ill. I think "sufferer" or "convalescent" are good.
