My Day
Mmmm, lets see if I can figure this all before my brain dies...
Went over to Kate's today at about noon for an unofficial CharGen for the Changeling game I'm gonna be in... Met 'Dog' (??) and Patrick at Dupont around 3:00. Got some character stuff done, ate chilly, hung out a lot, chatted with Kate about Religion, Politics, and stuff and such...
Kate has these two beautiful gray cats, Russian Blues I think she said they were. Beautiful blue eyes, and sleek, and soft, and feline.... *grins* Sophia and Grace, if I recall correctly. I fell in love with them instantly. ^_^ I *love* cats. By the end of the long, hot day, Sophia was burying her head into my armpit (for some reason, cats like the smell). It tickled, and such.
My troll has more of a person to him now. Some of rich New Englanders, he was sent off to Boarding School (where this takes place) in great part because his parents wanted to be able to live their high-society life without having to bother with him -- not in a cruel way, but in a 'this is easier for us' way. He's an athletic boy, plays soccer, and reasonably intelligent -- likes chess and such and stuff.
He went through Crysalis several months ago, though he'd been having nightmares of his past fae-lives for a couple of years. I've decided that's some yet-undertermined failing in his past which haunts and torments him and, soon after this game starts, prompts him to swear an oath of loyalty to Kate's sidhe. I hope for this failing to torment him throught the game, and eventually I think I'm going to have him fail yet again. But that's not set in stone, so we'll see.
The group looks good so far, with Kate as a spoiled-rich-girl sidhe, Dog is playing a mute eshu genius, Patrick is still deciding between a pooka and a satyr, and GP is doing another sidhe character, who I know near-nothing about. Toss in Jason as another player and Kirt as the ST, and there's the group.
Aside from Kittie-love and Gaming-goodness, we had some old fashioned Geek-fun and then watched "True Genius" (an old '80s movie) after a dinner of rather-spicy chili that GP'd made.
And I think that may be about it... I'm gonna have t'sit and talk with Kate about dark fairytales sometime, and I need to figure out with Kirt the nature of my vow and how things are going to lead to it... But, yeah, whee, it looks like this could be a really cool group (I just hope I'm not too much of a SeriousGamer for is...)

Valuble? Really? I know they were quite possibly the most beautiful cats I've ever seen. But no, I couldn't kidnap them (well, maybe Sophia...), and even at that, I'd never sell them (so pretty).
