Oh, randomly, get this -- Suzannah's blood type is O-Negative. I am amused.

Oh. Now I understand. 8^)

Yeah, we got to talking about blood types when I mentioned that I'd almost passed out watching someone give blood (I'm very squeemish in theory), and she said she's O-Negative, so she's a Universal donor, but she can't give blood because she doesn't meet the minimum weight!

And what blood type are you?

We don't know. Or rather, I don't know, and my parent's don't have the information at the ready. My dad is O+ and my mom is A+. My maternal grandmother is Negative, so depending of if my Dad carries the recessive gene, I may be either A+, A-, O+, or O-, I suppose. I'd like to find out.

Yes, I would like to know what my kids blood types are. I am O-, Hubby is A+, I don't really know what that means for the kiddoes...

Like me, Odd are you kids are Type A-Positive. The genes for type are A, B, and O, and then there's rh which is either + or -. A and B are dominant over O, but not each other -- that is, the possible types are A, B, AB, and O. + is Dominant over -. Since you're O-, you're very recessive. *giggles* If your husband carried a recessive O and a recessive -, there's a chance that your children are O-. If he doesn't, then they can't help but be A+. (If he only has one given recessive gene, then they could be either A- or O+).
