"Jungian" refers to psychologist Carl Jung, who proposed the theory that everyone has a "mask" that they wittingly or unwittingly put out to the world, and an inner self, or "shadow", that no one ever really sees, etc...it's really nifty, what he did. Someday, I'll find my old psych notes and tell you all about him.

"Conundrum" refers to a riddle between two things that seem to not make any sense when put together.
