Yesterday's Update
Firstly, I went out to Lunch with Anastasiya, which was cool. The lil'punk tried paying for my meal. And succeeded, but... I don't think she quite realizes how beautiful she really is, and that always strikes me as an amusing kind of shock. I think she makes things more difficult on herself, too; if I recall correctly we spent some time discussing her guy troubles. Or cheesebread. I can't really remember which.
On the way home I decided to give Nifer a call; I haven't seen her in nearly three or four years, though we've kept in touch more-or-less through the internet. She has a beautiful voice; that's what struck me first. It was really good talking with her. She said I'd made her day, which made me happy to hear; she's been having issues with her apartment moving and such and the like. Eighteen-hundred dollars is not a good thing to owe. But we talked about a whole bunch of stuff, and our conversation kept wandering. I can barely believe that the last time I saw her, I had just barely started going out with Claire. Though present through LJ, she 'missed' that whole thing, our breakup, the aftermath, my last three years of school, meeting Anastasiya, our breakup, meeting Suzannah, and all of the little insignificant details in between. That's a lot of stuff. I've really missed her, I think, and it was grand to talk to her.
We also chatted a bit about my story-idea. Because, you know, Nifer was the one who inspired me to start writing my Snippets. Anyways, I sat down and wrote her a huge email with notes and thoughts on my story. I think I did such a good job getting my nebulous thoughts onto digital paper, that I may be able to use what I sent her as a spring-board to actually get somewhere with this. But we'll see. Maybe I'll print it off and see if I can do anything with it tonight.
I'm very tired today. Work has been demanding this morning. My family might well be coming up to my Uncle's Empty House tonight for dinner. One hundred fifty minutes before I can go home...
