Now Look What You Started...

Yes, you see, at the time I was talking a bit with my brothers, Gene who likes the idea of Hunter:The Reckoning (regular Joes, spontaneously Imbued and know the world isn't as it seems) and Josh, who likes Changeling:The Dreaming (that imaginary would of dragons and pixies and unicorns inside your head is real - just nobody knows it); and, of course, I'm an Uber-vampire fan, so Vampire suits me.

Anyways, speaking inparticularly of Hunter, for a number of reasons these guys hunt the supernatural, including the Undead. At the time I was thinking along the lines of our character (we'll name him Zach) goes out to hunt his Sire (it's a unisex title - she'll be Saria), and in one way or another enlists/meets/saves/is saved by/or otherwise teams with a Hunter or three, or maybe a Hunter and a Changeling, or a group of disgruntled/power-hungy Vamps (who we'll collectively call Trevor).

So, giving away his true identity or not, Zach helps Trevor with the hunt, or visa versa, until they trap Saria in her Lair. Finally there to have his vengence against this beast, Zach is torn - after all, she still is the woman he loved (or loves?), even if that woman had always been a bloodsucking monster. Try as he might, hate her as he does, he can't bring himself to destroy her, to the point where he DEFENDS her against Trevor. And thus it ends.
Or rather, begins....

Unless...unless Zach and Trevor truely become companions, to the point where his combined distaste for his sire and comaraderie with Trevor at worst allow him to stand aside while Trevor exacts his own form of justice. Or maybe, through the course of events, Zach becomes as much a Monster as he's condemned to be, destroying his sire in maddened hate, and worse yet, possibly then turning on Trevor.

And then what? In either case, defending Saria or slaughtering Trevor, where does he go from there? Does he continue to protect Saria, as Trevor is still out for Undead Blood? Does his feral madness consume him until he truely embodies all the monstrocity he feaes he's become?

The possiblities are endless.
