He's a President. Which means he's a politician. Which means as a rule I don't trust him...the fact that he's a practicing Christian at least gives me the hope that he has some kind of moral code which I can agree with.
My thoughts precisely. I don't like politicians, and I don't really like Bush - but I'd be a lot more unhappy were Gore sitting in the White House right now. And the Christian thing gives me some hope, too...although, looking at other practicing Christians like Pat Robertson makes me realize that just 'cause somebody professes a faith in God doesn't necessarily mean they're a good person out to do only righteous things. The fact that Bush allowed the wholly intolerable Patriot Act to pass is enough to raise my eyebrows.
War is never a good think, but sometimes it is a necessary thing.
