I just chatted with Rachel for a long while... We both got a little dirt off our chests, and I thank her for both sharing and for listening. Then we talked about her and Zak, the guy with whom she now holds my ideal relationship. Thinking of her happy makes me happy.

If I were lonely, and I just needed someone to put my arms around, would you let me?

We all need affection, and affection doesn't have to be romantic.
I'm a firm believer that friends can and should support each other, and as we're all intellectual, emotional, and physical, I think it's ridiculous that friends be expected to only be around intellectually and emotionally.
I donno, maybe I'm out in left field, but...
And, yeah, if you (any of you) ever need me, I'm here, too.  ^_^
